Here at Barker Street Pet Services, we only use up to date and science led training methods, which means kind, reward based training. We believe in a future where dog trainers don't have to advertise that they're force free, because it should just be a given... But until then we are totally and completely force free with a focus on reward based training that really works.
We offer both 1-2-1 training (perfect for nervous dogs) or class environments (for dogs that are happy in the presence of other dogs and humans).

​1-2-1 Dog Training
Our 1-2-1 training sessions are a fantastic way of providing bespoke, personable training for you and your dog. These sessions can take place at your home or out in the big wide world, helping you reach your training goals in a way that works best for you. £45 for a one hour training session, a bespoke training plan being created and full support whenever you need it. We also offer behaviour modification for more complex behavioural issues, (specialising in Canine Reactivity) with the help of our fully qualified Canine Behaviour Advisor, Vikki. Click here enquire.
Puppy Training Classes
We offer regular puppy training classes for puppies aged 12 weeks to 5 months. These classes are run as a four week course, focusing on; habituation, correct socialisation, introduction to loose lead walking and recall, stay/wait, drop it/leave it, co-operative handling and much more. £85 for the full course. Adolescent Dog Training Classes
We offer regular adolescent dog training classes for dogs aged 6 months to 2 years. These classes are run as a four week course, focusing on; loose lead walking, recall, impulse control, polite greetings, stay/wait, jumping up and much more. £105 for the full course. Click here to enquire.
Puppy Social Club
These clubs are run on a Saturday morning on a semi-regular basis and consist of a 45 minute laid back and fun social event for puppies up to 5 months old. Meet other puppies and owners in your area and learn how to socialise your puppy correctly with hands on experience. £10 per puppy. Click here to enquire.
Canine Companion Course
A six week course for dogs aged 6 months+ devoted to giving you and your dog the skills and knowledge you need for real life scenarios. We will cover things such as socialisation, settling, body language, visitors, visiting cafes/pubs, public transport and much more- all tied together with a group walk and cafe visit for our final session! Canines In The Community
These fun, laid back community walks are designed to meet like-minded dog owners and their dogs within our local community. Held on a semi-regular basis, these trainer-led walks include meeting in a pre-arranged time and place for a walk with other dogs and their owners to socialise in a fun and controlled environment. Perfect for meeting new people, confidence building and learning how to correctly socialise your dog. £5 per dog.
Phone consultations
Phone consultations are the perfect way of offering training support from afar. We will create a bespoke training plan which will be discussed in detail during your consultation, coupled with never ending support so you know that we've always got your back. £30 for a one hour phone consultation, bespoke training plan being created and full support whenever you need it.
